Did you know?

There are bacteria that actually eat cyanides. Draslovka employs just such bacteria at one of its three wastewater treatment plants, using a specific bacteria tribe in its bioreactors to consume cyanide wastes from the production process. Aerobic bacteria eat cyanides and aniline, whilst producing ammonia anions (NH4-) and carbon dioxide (CO2) from the wastewater contaminants.

Some bacteria eat cyanides.
